Ryan Colley

CEO

Ryan Colley serves as CEO of Colley Intelligence, an international corporate advisory firm specializing in crafting offensive and defensive responses to complex reputation, legal, and financial risks. Mr. Colley specializes in investigations covering a range of matters, including disputes, fraud, financial crime, and corruption, many of which have a cross-border aspect. He is frequently hired by corporations, global law firms, investors, and ultra-high-net-worth individuals.

Colley Intelligence frequently advises and investigates matters involving financial crime and fraud, complex commercial litigation, and public corruption. The company also has a long history of in-person “boots on the ground” investigations in more than 90 countries. Mr. Colley is a Spanish and Russian speaker who has conducted investigations and advised clients of complex reputation and business issues in frontier and emerging markets, including India, China, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Panama, Honduras, and many others. He is most frequently called on for complex international fraud cases but also specializes in matters involving commercial litigation, financial crime, data privacy and security, and digital assets.

Many cases that Mr. Colley handles fit a certain profile as they involve some unique jurisdictional, legal, or enforcement issue. The company specializes in advising on issues where success is achieved by navigating complex legal disputes but often includes concurrent criminal or intelligence referrals.

Mr. Colley is an Associate Member of the American Bar Association (ABA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Anti-Money-Laundering-Specialist (ACAMS), Certified International Investigator (CII), Certified Cryptocurrency Investigator (CCI), former Board Member of the Council of International Investigators (CII), and a Regional Director of the Council of International Investigators. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Classics with a minor in Russian Studies from the College of Charleston. Mr. Colley previously spent several years working for public, private, and media entities on and around Capitol Hill, and with the federal government in the executive branch. He lives in Washington, DC, with his wife and children.
